Bowl’d

BOWLDThis week I got Bowl’d over! While wandering around Downtown San Luis Obispo, my mom took us to Bowl’d for acai berry bowls. The acai berry looks similar to a blueberry and it grows on the acai palm tree which are located in Central and South America. According to my mom, they are packed with antioxidants. The kid-version of that means they are healthy for you.

An acai bowl from Bowl’d is a healthier alternative to frozen yogurt but it takes just as good and actually, I think it tastes better! I normally choose the Paradise Bowl but there are many more options. What is a Paradise Bowl, you may ask? It’s a blend of acai, banana, mango, pineapple, orange juice and toppings include banana, strawberry, blueberry, coconut, kiwi and honey. They also add granola which is soooooo good.

On warm days (they are coming!), I love going to Bowl’d because not only is it delicious but it cools you off! Next time you are Downtown San Luis Obispo, stop by Bowl’d and tell them that Kailani sent you!

Fun detail: They serve Whalebird Kombucha

Bowl’d is located at 1028 Chorro Street, San Luis Obispo
